There was a SSO (Sanitary System Overflow) at Lift Station #4 at 4802 S County Road P on September 30, 2019 during the early morning hours due to the heavy rains at that time. It is no longer overflowing.
The 2019 Douglas County Hazardous Waste Collection will be held on Wednesday, July 10 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event will take place at Transfer Station in Solon Springs, 11903 S Holly Lucius Road. The Village of Poplar Board will be holding a Caucus on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. Location of the Caucus will be at the Village Hall at 4932 S Village Road. The purpose is to nominate candidates who will be running for Village President and Village Trustees on the April ballot. The meeting is open to the public.
