Garbage Ordinance

The Village of Poplar does have a Garbage Ordinance that requires all residents to have garbage service. In order to be in compliance with this ordinance, each resident must have the minimum service that Eagle Waste offers. If you refuse the service, the amount buyambienmed.com will be put on your tax bill as an assessment.

If you have questions regarding your past service with Waste Management, please call 1-888-960-0008. If you have questions regarding the service options through Eagle Waste, please call them direct at 1-715-477-0077.

The Village Board Members would like to thank all the volunteers that put a lot of their time and effort into making Poplar Fun Days and the Centennial a big success. We truly appreciate all of your hard work and dedication that went into beautifying the village, setting up, helping with the various activities, and cleaning up. We had many compliments on the Fun Days and the Centennial activities. It really shows that we have a great pride for our community.

Poplar Fun Day / Centennial Celebration

The Village of Poplar Board Members would like to ask for your help to beautify Main Street for the upcoming Centennial (1917-2017) Celebration on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6.

Removal of debris and any unused items to include vehicles, and mowing of lawn areas, plus any additions to improve the overall appearance would be appreciated. There is a team of volunteers that have offered to help with these tasks. They would especially like to help to plant flowers or rejuvenate any current garden areas. For information on volunteer help, please contact the Village Clerk at 715-364-8589.

Poplar’s Centennial will be celebrated in conjunction premier-pharmacy.com with Poplar Fun Days on August 5 and 6.

Some of the events planned are: A parade through downtown Poplar, Music throughout the day by various musical talents, Kids Fire Hose Competition, Annual Corn-Hole (Beanbag) Competition, Kids Relay Races, Kids Carnival Games, Vendors, Food and beverages provided by the Poplar Fire Department Auxiliary, Street Dance: Crescent Moon, Poplar Princess Contest, and Fireworks at Dusk.
