The Village of Poplar Board Members would like to ask for your help to beautify Main Street for the upcoming Centennial (1917-2017) Celebration on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6.

Removal of debris and any unused items to include vehicles, and mowing of lawn areas, plus any additions to improve the overall appearance would be appreciated. There is a team of volunteers that have offered to help with these tasks. They would especially like to help to plant flowers or rejuvenate any current garden areas. Poplar’s Centennial will be celebrated in conjunction premier-pharmacy.com with Poplar Fun Days on August 5 and 6.

Some of the events planned are: A parade through downtown Poplar, Music throughout the day by various musical talents, Kids Fire Hose Competition, Annual Corn-Hole (Beanbag) Competition, Kids Relay Races, Kids Carnival Games, Vendors, Food and beverages provided by the Poplar Fire Department Auxiliary, Street Dance: Crescent Moon, Poplar Princess Contest, and Fireworks at Dusk.
