In-person absentee voting

In-person absentee voting begins Tuesday, October 20th and ends Friday, October 30th. Office hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You may come in any time during office hours to vote. If you would like to make an appointment to vote in office on Wednesdays and Fridays, please call Gina Ormond, Clerk at 218-591-0193.

There is also a ballot box outside the village office to drop off your absentee ballots during office hours.


Finance Committee Meeting

There will be a Finance Committee Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on October 22, 2020. The meeting will be held at the Village Hall – 4932 S Village Road. The purpose of this meeting is to complete the 2021 Village Budget.


Employee Committee Meeting

There will be an Employee Committee Meeting on Wednesday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Village Hall at 4932 S Village Road. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the wages for the board members and employees for 2021.


Finance Committee Meeting

Village Office Hours

Starting Monday, September 21, 2020 through Monday, November 2, 2020, Village Office Hours will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and by appointment only on Wednesdays and Fridays.

There will be a ballot box outside the village office door to drop off your absentee ballots. If these hours do not work for you to drop off your ballot, please call to make an appointment to do so.

Village taking bids to paint Village Hall

The Village of Poplar is taking bids to paint the Poplar Village Hall and Garage. The building is concrete block and approximately 3000 square feet less windows and doors. The wood trim, soffit, and fascia need to be scraped, primed, and painted a separate color. The bid is on labor and materials. The Village has 25 gallons of white concrete paint in storage.

All bids will be opened, discussed, and voted on at the August 11th Board Meeting.
