The Ordinance Meeting that is scheduled for Thursday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. has been canceled. Another meeting will be scheduled in the future.
The Village of Poplar Board of Trustees is forming a committee to work on organizing the village’s ordinances.
We are looking for interested residents to be on the committee. The committee would be responsible for going through the current ordinances and making recommendations to the board on changes that need to made.

The Caucus will be held Monday, January 20, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. It will be held at the Village Hall – 4932 S Village Road. Purpose of the Caucus is to nominate candidates to be on the ballot for the Spring Election held on April 7, 2020. The Caucus is open to the public.
There will be an Employee Committee Meeting on Monday, January 20, 2020. The meeting will be held at 7:15 p.m. at the Village Hall – 4932 S Village Drive. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss vacation, pay scale, and the employee manual.
Due to rain, snow melt, and flooding, there was a Sanitary System Overflow at Lift Station #4 – 4802 S County Road P. The overflow started on December 29, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. and ended December 30, 2019 at 9:00 p.m. The amount of the overflow was 54,000 gallons. The incident was reported to the DNR.
